BACKGROUND
Janie Bunch has been a licensed real estate agent in the state of Washington since 1987 and has been with Edmonds Windermere since 1988. Janie received her BA in Art from the University of Central Oklahoma and did post graduate work at the University of Oklahoma. She taught art in both public and private schools in Oklahoma City prior to moving to Washington in 1986.
SPECIALIZATION
Janie specializes in residential sales and marketing primarily in the Edmonds, Woodway, and Richmond Beach areas. She is experienced in new construction, as well as resale, and has been involved in the marketing and sale of every type of property from condominimums to waterfront estates. Janie enjoys working with first time buyers and sellers as well as those who are more experienced.
NEGOTIATING SKILL
Whether buying or selling a home, negotiating price and terms is the phase of a transaction in which the skills and experience of an agent is the most critical. Janie has had experience in negotiating difficult transactions for both buyers and sellers. She has worked in the "sellers" market of 1988-1989 in which prices escalated quickly and dramatically and multiple offers were common, through the sudden downturn of 1990-1991, followed by the "buyers" market of 1991-1993 and the "adjusted" market of 1993-1996, to the present market. Janie's abiltiy to work with other agents, availability to her clients, attention to detail, tenacity, and experience are of great benefit in negotiating the best offer for her buyers and sellers. She has been a guest panelist for Windermere's Prostart training program seven times to discuss, among other things, negotiating skills.
INTEGRITY
Janie was selected by the owners and managers of Windermere to serve as the Edmonds' office Standards of Practice Representative, an honor in which Janie took great pride. At least quarterly, the standards of practice repesentatives from all the Windermere offices in Snohomish and King counties meet to review and discuss the company's code of ethics and to make recommendations to ensure that all Windermere agents are operating under the same guidelines for customer service and agent relations. Janie, as well as many other agents, was drawn to Windermere originally because of the company's strong commitment to integrity. Janie feels that, "Integrity is the one thing an agent can possess on the very first day of his or her real estate career. Without it, all the experience, skill and knowledge in the world is of little use."
